Re: Parallax, 2009

Interactive installation / Duration: 6 weeks

After the presentations, 400 still images from a recording of the performance Parallax are re-enacted by visitors of the exhibition.

Participants are invited to stand on the stage in positions indicated on instruction slides. The slides are projected on two screens, upon which a projection of the participants’ own image is superimposed. One can literally see their body entering the instruction picture, and adjust into the precise position.

Each day another section of the performance is “re - enacted” and photographed. New images are daily added to an accumulating online archive. When viewed in total, the collection resembles a stop-motion remake of the performance.
